$10 ORCHARD HILL CIDER MILL VERDE MEDIUM-DRY, HUDSON RIVER REGION, NEW YORK.375ml
Orchard Hill Cider Mill is located at Soons Orchard, and expands their 103 year history of providing locally grown produce to include locally produced fermented and distilled beverages. Our mission since the inception of the project has been to provide an alternative to the homogenized “big beer producer” style of cider that is most widely available today. Our ciders are made with a minimum of manipulation and intervention. We respect traditional techniques and the natural expressiveness of our fruit, while not slavishly copying old world styles. We are excited to offer a new look at an American classic and feel that our ciders deserve a place at the table with the best wines, beers and spirits available. We know you'll agree. CIDERY

$ 18 foggy ridge "first fruit , virginia o/s
At Foggy Ridge Cider in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains, Cidermaker Diane Flynt combines innovation and tradition. Over 30 American, English and French apple varieties—ugly and hard to grow but full of the tannin, acid and aroma needed for fine cider—are blended to create a traditional hard cider crafted with modern techniques. At Foggy Ridge Cider we aim to revive the artisan cidermaking tradition. We harvest ripe apples from our three orchards and craft small batches of carefully selected cider blends. Each season is different, and our ciders vary from year to year. The cidermaker is intimately involved in all aspects of the orchard and Cider House from grafting and pruning to picking and blending. $12 DOMAINE PACORY POIRE DOMFRONT, NORMANDY, FRANCE
Poiré Domfront is a new appellation in the southern part of Normandy where pears are king. This pear cider is made principally with the variety plant de blanc, and its excellent acidity frame the pear and spice flavors. Poiré Domfront is made in the same style as low alcohol apple based ciders of Normandy, with 4-5% alcohol and slightly sparkling; it differs from its apple-based counterpart with a slightly brighter, golden color and (of course) its recognizably pear flavor… a truly delicious, slightly off-dry drink that works excellently as a palate cleanser before a meal or just a delicious drink on a hot afternoon.
